Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal.

samSamaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal.
Once again I am doing it again with my Church, St. Anne’s.
I do have the new “Go” Boxes at 50p each, which are ready to fill. I also have the appropriate forms.  The boxes are flat packed and easy
to assemble. If anyone wants to make up their own boxes with the original shoe boxes and cover them themselves that would be great also.
The date they have to be at the Church is 15th November. I can collect if need be or they can be brought straight to the Church Office which is open Mon-Fri 10-12midday. My mobile no is 0750 302 6081.
For other information regarding what to put in, see …..
Many thanks
Eve

This ‘alien’ landed yesterday and still no owner has come forward …….

The aliens have landed!

Well not quite but a drone like specimen has crashed landed in a back garden in Bagshot. It is flashing and awaiting its next command from mission control. Please pass on to anyone who you think could be its commander. Send a message to events@bagshotvilage.com so we pass on to the finder. Proof of ownership will be required. Thank you drone 1

Bagshot Scout Group Needs Leaders

1st Bagshot Scouts needs leaders urgently!  A number of leaders have had to stop or change the section they are supporting because of changes in their circumstances, and unfortunately, this has happened all at the same time.  The situation is serious and if leaders can’t be found, it could lead to the Beaver Section being closed.

1st Bagshot was formed in 1909, just 2 years after Baden Powell formed the movement and is the oldest Group in Surrey.  It runs successfully and has a effective support team that ensures that the Sections have everything they need.

Too Busy?

Its the oldest excuse in the book.  Not a single one of the Scout leaders has spare time.  They all lead busy lives and have challenging jobs but they make the time because its rewarding and because of the impact it has on young peoples lives.

Old and young all have something to contribute and there is lots of training and support available if you join the team.

To find out more or to volunteer, please contact Assistant Group Scout Leader Andy on cubs@bagshotscouts.org.uk
