Carols in the Chapel Friday 21st December 6.30pm

chapel night 2

We are pleased to announce that Bagshot Chapel will be opened for Carols and Readings on  Friday 21st December at 6.30pm. Rev Andreas Sistig has once again kindly agreed to coordinate the service with Valerie, Tina and John. The Chapel is very small and not so warm, so get well wrapped up and come early if you need a seat. We do have a gazebo outside for the overspill!  There will be mulled wine (or juice) and mince pies at the end and maybe the odd the chocolate! Everyone is welcome! Bagshot Chapel is located in the cemetery, which can be accessed by Bagshot Infant School in School Lane.

Bagshot Square Consultation

The Square, Bagshot
Proposed village centre enhancement

In 2017 Surrey County Council consulted the public about a number of options for improving the centre of Bagshot village.

Proposals to improve the area where the memorial is situated in the centre of the village proved to be the most popular option.

Different ways of creating an attractive shared community space giving more of a focal point to the village centre have therefore been considered. These all involve closing the small area of road.

Working together with the Parish Council a preferred option has now been identified. This is detailed in this consultation along with the other options considered.

The consultation closes on 13th Jan 2019.   You can find more information and complete the survey at the Surrey County Council SurreySays website.

Christingle

“Christingle is one of the really lovely services of the Christmas season.  During the informal service we’ll make Christingles (oranges decorated with sweets and fruit, a ribbon and a candle) and find out what these symbolise, as well as enjoying some carols and prayers together. All ages welcome”
