Consultation on Swift Lane is now open!

The consultation is now open – however, the last question reads

‘ Thinking about the proposals outlined in this survey, please rank the options below 1 to 6 in order of preference. (1 being the lowest preference and 6 the highest.) To my mind that appears back to front! Tina C

Update – they have now changed the wording.

Help to save our local hedgehogs!

http://hashtagamazinggrace.co.uk/events

This is actually being held in Windlesham this coming Wednesday, but there are a few spaces available. If you can’t make this one, your name can be added to the next similar event. We are very much hoping to have a special Amazing Grace Day in Bagshot – so please watch this space!

Bagshot Village Day 12 – 5pm

village day 17

There will be lots of local charity stalls at this event, so you can show your support to them as well as the businesses in the village. Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue will be there and hopefully bringing little hedgehogs to view. They are also bringing a box of the Sainsburys’ Lego Cards swaps. They have quite a few cards, but you can donate more if you have now completed your set. All we ask, is that if you take a card, you leave a small donation for the rescue. It should be a great day for the village community. lego cards

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Bagshot Care is looking for volunteers within, or very near to, Bagshot Village and if you have some spare time and would like to join us, we would be delighted to hear from you.  You would choose the days and times to volunteer that suit you.  Bagshot Care is run from our own homes, so there is no need to travel to an office.

Bagshot Care works in two ways.  We have volunteers who, upon request, take our clients to medical appointments, shopping or wherever they need to go, within a reasonable distance.  Any expenses, like mileage, can be claimed.  We also have a different Duty Officer each day, who, in their own home, takes the calls on our mobile phone between 10 a.m. and noon weekdays, and deals with the requests by phoning our volunteers to find one who is able to help with the job on the specific day and time.

We are a very friendly organization and would make you most welcome.  If you would like to find out more, please ring our Duty Officer on 07973 560216, between10 a.m. and noon, or leave your name and phone number on our answerphone at any time and we will get back to you.  Alternatively, we are holding our A.G.M. at the Church Centre next to St. Anne’s Church at 7.30 p.m. on the 12th July and you would be more than welcome to join us to see what we are all about, with no commitment, and to enjoy a glass of wine and some nibbles afterwards.
