Charity Thank You

The Trustees of Windlesham United Charities would like to thank all those customers of Waitrose in Bagshot who put their green tokens in our “slot” in the charity box earlier this year.

The money raised, together with a grant from Windlesham Parish Council and a donation from the proceeds of the Windlesham Pram Race, enabled us to undertake a much needed revamp of the communal garden at the James Butler Almshouses in Bagshot, with new planting and ornamental trees to replace those that were dying. The result is a much nicer area for relaxation for our residents.

Thanks also to Waitrose for including us in their charity scheme. – June Green, chairman, Windlesham United Charities.

NB The charity administers nine almshouses adjacent to but separate from Meade Court. They are available to rent to anyone who has lived in Bagshot, Lightwater or Windlesham for two years, or has relatives who fulfil this residential qualification. To find out more, contact the clerk to the trustees, Mrs Carol Robson, on 01276 476158
